API 5L X46 Pipe

API 5L X46 Pipes comes under the American Petroleum Institute specifications. There are different grades within the specification and the X range indicates the minimum yield strength needed for the pipes in the grades. X46 has a minimum of 46KPSI yield strength. The Api 5l X46 Pipes is relatively stronger than most other grades. Steel India Co. is a manufacturer and supplier of these pipes in different product specification levels. There are two levels and the psl2 has better mechanical properties than the psl1. The Api 5l X46 Psl2 is used in oil, gas and water transmission lines. Since these pipes are used for extended distances, these are called the line pipes.
